Trevor has also written books and articles on many railway history including 'The Great Railway Strike of 1917, and the decades it influenced', 'The Parramatta Wharf Tramway', 'The Wolgan Valley: The Shale Oil Refinery and Its Railway', to name a few.

Trevor's topic for 20 August is 'The Greatest Act of Bravery on Australian soil: The 1905 Thornton Accident'.The accident occurred on the railway on the line railway line between Newcastle and Maitland.
